Graduation Requirements
Students may chose between two levels of involvement while enrolled in the Imagine the Impact leadership institute. Students may graduate by choosing the Standard or the Advanced Track. Earning a certificate from Imagine the Impact requires the following:
Standard Track
- Attend all three residential experiences
- Meet twice a month with a mentor during the Imagine the Impact leadership institute to discuss the student’s personal growth plan and personal project.
- Connect with the participants peer group via the web site blog twice a month and once in person between the Residential Gathering #1 and #2, and once between Residential Gathering #2 and #3.
- Develop a personal project that will begin no later than January 15 and will run for approximately five months. Students will be guided through this process and given a software package called Dream Launch to assist them. Projects may begin as soon as the steps on the Dream Launch program are completed (except evaluation which happens at the project conclusion) and the student has had final consultation with the student’s mentor.
- Students are asked to appear before church every 4-6 weeks and participate in some way in consultation with the local church pastor.
- Develop and present both a display board and an oral presentation explaining the personal project at the end of the institute.
Advanced Track
- Includes everything listed under the Standard Track in addition to the items listed below.
- Students follow the provided devotional material throughout the year.
- Students engage in at least one "media micro-lab" in their home every month.
- Growth plan should include the following: interviewing 4 leaders in potential growth areas, reading at least one book per semester in line with the growth plan, and investing a quarterly block of time (two hours) in web research on a growth area represented in the personal growth plan.
